Microenterprise is a viable strategy for heads of large families with limited secular education to achieve economic self-sufficiency. HFLS’s business training program for Haredi men (the “Men’s Course”) provides core business training that positions Haredi men to successfully launch or expand small businesses.
The Men’s Course is held in Williamsburg in the fall and in Borough Park in the spring. It meets two evenings a week for seven consecutive weeks, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The course covers all the components needed to create a business plan, including marketing, pricing, cash flow, and legal considerations.
