Joshua Glasser

Where do you currently work?
I work at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.

How long have you been on the Next Gen Steering Committee?
I first joined the committee in 2018.

What made you interested in joining the Next Gen Steering Committee?
In Hebrew School, I learned that Maimonedes stated that the highest form of giving is an interest-free loan because the recipient feels no shame as he is not “taking,” and the “gift” enables him to strengthen his hand by investing in himself.  And then, after the loan is repaid, others are able to receive that same gift. That powerful model is exactly what HFLS does, and why I joined the committee.

Where did you go to college and what did you study?
I attended Amherst College, where I majored in History.

Do you hold any advanced degrees? If so, in what?
I have a J.D. from Georgetown

What is one interesting/fun fact about yourself?
I turned my senior thesis from college into a published book.
