Amit Paley is a globally recognized leader in health equity, mental health advocacy, and humanitarian innovation. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Malnutrition Advocacy Fund and as a Senior Adviser to the Eleanor Crook Foundation, where he helps drive forward efforts to combat childhood malnutrition on a global scale.

With a deep commitment to public service and social impact, Amit previously led the Movement Against Malnutrition and served as Entrepreneur in Residence at the International Rescue Committee, advising on innovative approaches to humanitarian response. He is known for his transformational leadership at The Trevor Project, where he served as CEO & Executive Director. During his tenure, the organization dramatically scaled its services for LGBTQ youth, expanded internationally, and built AI-powered crisis tools that earned a spot on TIME magazine’s list of the 100 Best Inventions.

Earlier in his career, Amit worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Partner, advising major institutions across the corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors, with a focus on digital transformation, healthcare systems, and organizational strategy. Before entering the consulting world, he began his professional journey as a journalist at The Washington Post, reporting on global conflict and financial wrongdoing. His investigative work, including reporting from Iraq, received national recognition and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

Beyond his executive roles, Amit has served on numerous boards and advisory councils related to suicide prevention, journalism, and public integrity. His perspectives have been featured widely, including on CNN, NPR, and in The New York Times and USA Today. He is also a frequent public speaker on leadership, social impact, and the intersection of technology and mental health.
