Scholarship Overview

The Hebrew Free Loan Society administers three scholarship programs for the UJA-Federation of New York. This program provides approximately $1 million to students with financial need, primarily in the New York City metropolitan area.

The scholarship application for 2018-19 academic year will open in late April 2018. Please return to this page starting the week of April 23 to see if the scholarship application has opened. When it opens, the yellow bar below will say “Click here to apply” and link to the online application.

UJA-Federation of NY Rose Biller Scholarship Fund
The UJA-Federation of NY Rose Biller Scholarship Fund is open to Jewish residents of the New York metropolitan area with financial need. It provides scholarships to Jewish men and women with significant economic need attending undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools.

The UJA-Federation of NY Jean and Albert Nerken Scholarship Fund is open to international students studying in the New York metropolitan area.
