Scholarship Overview

The Hebrew Free Loan Society administers three scholarship programs for the UJA-Federation of New York. This program provides approximately $1 million to students with financial need, primarily in the New York City metropolitan area.

The 2020-2021 scholarship application period will begin April 1st 2020 and end at 12am, May 31st, 2020. The scholarships will be awarded for the 2020 -2021 school year and will be for students attending classes between August/September 2020 and May/June 2021.

For undergrad students who intend to apply for the Rose Biller Scholarship (if you have not already done so) it is imperative that you submit a FAFSA prior to the start of the application process.

Please carefully read the eligibility requirements for each scholarship prior to starting your application on April 1st 2020. This will ensure that you are applying for a scholarship that you are eligible for, and that you are prepared for the application process.
