Joe Blum is the Managing Partner, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer of NewVest Partners. Previously, he was a Senior Advisor at Global Infrastructure Partners (2020–2023) and a Partner at the firm from 2007 to 2020, where he served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and a member of the Investment Committee.
Before joining GIP, Joe spent 21 years at Latham & Watkins, serving as Managing Partner of the firm’s London office and head of its Project Development and Finance Group. Earlier in his career, he served as Special Assistant to the Director of the FBI in Washington, D.C.
He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
