Alan Laytner is a native of Manhattan‘s Upper West Side where he resides with his wife Rachelle Gribetz. Alan is a graduate of City College of New York and received a BFA in theatre he also attended Columbia University for an MFA in Theatre. 

For the past 40 years he was the President of Laytner’s Linen and Home retail stores that his survivor parents had started. Alan is also President of Melange Home, an import manufacturer of high-end bed linens.

Alan is a longtime board member of DOROT, and most important, he is the proud father of 3 married daughters and has 2 delightful grandsons.
