Interest-free, no-fee loans of up to $5,000 for employees or former employees of Jewish communal organizations who were laid off, furloughed, or experienced a reduction in income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

JPRO Rise Program OverviewRise, a partnership between JPRO Network and the Jewish Federations of North America, with support from UJA Federation of New York and several other funders, is partnering with the Hebrew Free Loan Society to offer interest-free, no-fee loans of up to $5,000 to individuals who were laid off, furloughed, or experienced a reduction in income from jobs in the Jewish community due to COVID-19.
No guarantors or collateral are required for JPRO Rise Loans, and there is a three-month grace period before repayments begin.
Loans are repayable over 20 months, with a maximum monthly repayment of $250 for a loan of $5,000. Repayments will be made on either the 5th or the 20th of each month; applicants select their preference before Hebrew Free Loan Society (HFLS) closes their loan. All loan repayments are made by electronic debit of a checking account.
