In partnership with YU Global, HFLS provides loans of $16,900 to students who enroll in the YU Global Cybersecurity course.
To qualify for a YU Global Training Loan, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Married/Partnered Applicants and Guarantors: If an applicant or guarantor is married or partnered, they must include their spouse or partner’s information in the application form, as each member of a married or partnered couple is equally responsible for the loan.
After an application is submitted, the spouse or partner of the applicant and guarantor will receive a notification informing them of the loan application and asking them to authorize HFLS to pull their credit report. This confirmation is required in order for HFLS to process the loan. If the loan is approved, the applicant and guarantor spouse or partner must both sign the promissory note upon loan closing.
Loans are repaid over a maximum of 60 months (five years): 12 months of $25 monthly payments followed by 48 months of $346 monthly payments (with a final payment of $338).
HFLS will withdraw monthly repayments directly from the borrower’s designated checking account via ACH on the date preferred by the borrower (the 5th or 20th of the month) and referenced in their Promissory Note and ACH Form. Repayments will begin approximately one month after the loan funds have been disbursed.
After receiving the completed application, required documents, guarantor form(s), and ID-Pal verifications, an HFLS Loan Officer will contact you to request any missing information and schedule a 15-minute loan interview by phone.
During the interview, the Loan Officer will ask any questions they have about your application, explain the loan closing process and loan terms, and answer any questions you have.
Due to the high volume of applications, we ask that you do NOT contact HFLS about the status of your application. HFLS reviews complete applications only in the order in which they are received. If you have not heard from a Loan Officer, it is because one or more of the steps above is not complete or because HFLS is processing applications that were completed before yours.
After a loan is approved, HFLS will send the following loan closing documents to the applicant for electronic signature. The applicant will electronically complete and sign the forms where indicated:
Within two business days of receiving the completed and signed Promissory Note and ACH Form, HFLS will close the loan and disburse the approved loan amount directly to YU Global.
